21 GUNS

21 Guns was another of the bland, boring, AOR dreck 'super' bands that seemed to proliferate the 90's (see Shadow King and Contraband).  This particular band was formed by Thin Lizzy guitarist Scott Gorham, bass guitarist Leif Johanson and drummer Mike Sturgis (who worked together in Phenomena), and fronted by vocalist Tommy La Verdi, formerly of the band A440.  La Verdi was replaced for the second album by former Sons of Angels singer Hans-Olav Solli. If you're expecting to hear anything close to Thin Lizzy, forget it.  The band should have been named 2 gun salute, as only 2 tunes off the Salute album were even listenable (I believe they were Battered & Bruised and Walking, but I really don't remember or care).  You may have noticed I didn't list the tracklist or info on either album, that is not an oversight.  If you really want to hear some 90's AOR melodic rock, look it up yourself.
