Smashed Gladys were, for the lack of a better term, a sleaze rock band that formed in 1984.  The band featured a female vocalist named Sally Cato, whose vocals are perfect for this record - not wimpy in the slightest.  Another plus for Smashed Gladys - no sappy keyboard AOR friendly rock, just party time, turn off your brain rock and roll.  No medieval themes, no dragons, witches or wizards, just a SLIGHT pension for sexually charged lyrics.  And when I say slight, I mean over the top!

Songs titles like "Lick It Into Shape", "Play Dirty", "Legs Up", "Dive In The Dark", Hard To Swallow"...You get the point.
