Not sure what type of wacky weed they were smoking when they approved that hideous album cover - but whatever. Weed was a side-project of Ken Hensley recorded in Germany between the release of the Uriah Heep albums Salisbury and Look At Yourself. Reportedly the other musicians were all from the band Virus, although this fact, nor the fact that Ken Hensley played on the record, were credited on the actual album. If you are a fan of Uriah Heep, or any of Ken Hensley's other bands, and you never knew this record existed, you are truly missing out! Hard twin guitars abound on this album (Not sure whose leads are who), as well as plenty of Hensley's signature organ and vocals. The only down side with the record is it's short 31 minute running time.
