This cover is much better In my opinion.

Co Produced by Queen guitarist Brian May, Scottish NWOBHM band Heavy Pettin's debut album Lettin Loose was released in 1983.  To me, this album does not have the NWOBHM sound to it, more like a Mutt Lange produced Def Leppard/AOR rock/Bon Jovi groove instead.  In fact, the band would have probably took off if they had debuted during the Hair Metal craze made popular at the end of the decade.  Their second album, Rock Aint Dead, was even more commercial than Lettin Loose.  They put out a third album,  Big Bang, in 1989.  Believe it or not, it was even 'poppier' and more commercial than the previous album!

Multiple web sites claim that the band's name was based on the UFO album No Heavy Petting.   Hmmm seems like a bit of a stretch.
