Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, Sir Lord Baltimore has been referred to as "the godfathers of stoner rock", and the very first Heavy Metal band.  True or not, (you can look up the references yourself) they were definitely HEAVY for their era, especially on their first album Kingdom Come.  They tried to expand their sound on the second album, slowing their pace down in the process, to sound more like their contemporaries.  Big Mistake in my opinion, and it showed, both in sales and in quality.   Interesting fact:  The "live" song "Where Are We Going" wasn't recorded live at all - the audience sounds were added to a studio recording.   Curious, to say the least.
