Silverhead were a British band, fronted by the singer/actor, Michael Des Barres. Des Barres would later join Detective, Power Station, and of course the WKRP fictional band Scum Of The Earth. The other members of the band were: Robbie Blunt (guitar), who would go on to play on several Robert Plant solo releases, Rod Rook Davies (guitar, percussion, vocals), Nigel Harrison (bass guitar) who would later play in Blondie, and Pete Thompson (Drums, percussion, keyboards, vocals). They recorded two studio albums on the Purple Records label (Yes that Deep Purple) , Silverhead (1972), which was produced by the legendary Martin Birch, and 16 and Savaged (1973).
