Steve Grimmett, the vocalist on Chateaux's debut album Chained And Desperate, left the band after that album and subsequently fronted the NWOBHM band Grim Reaper. However, for some strange reason the rest of the band insisted at every opportunity that Grimmett WAS NOT a member of the band, and was nothing more than a 'guest vocalist'. Very weird, to say the least, especially since he is such a fine vocalist! In any event, all 3 Chateaux albums are fine examples of hard rocking NWOBHM metal.
