NWOBHM Band from Stoke-on-Trent (England) with a French name? Robert Moseley, (Le Griffe's ex-bass player and one of the founding members) stated in an interview : "Paul Ibbs (another one of the founding members) named the band and we loved it. The bird of prey was a great logo. The local pub (near where we rehearsed) would welcome us after rehearsals with the saying “Here comes le group”. It was a fantastic time to be alive."
