Black Dog is another in the seemingly endless horde of NWOBHM bands that little or no information about them exists on the internet.   What is known is that they produced 2 demo tapes, and that their drummer, Mark Grimmett, is the brother of Grim Reaper vocalist Steve Grimmett. Here are some other 'facts' about Black Dog one of which Robscurities completely made up:

1.  They chose the name Black Dog because it was guitarist Nick Singleton's favorite song, which is fortunate because guitarist Paul Robinson's favorite song was The Amboy Dukes'  Why is a carrot more orange than an orange.

2.  They were originally going to be featured on the classic Metal Muthas

NWOBHM compilation LP, but were bumped at the last minute by Nutz, who weren't even an NWOBHM band.

3.  Guitarist Nick Singleton and Mark Grimmett (now as a vocalist) have formed a 'classic' style rock band called 3sixty.  Have not heard them yet.
