Imagine what Van Halen would sound like if David Chastain was the guitarist and David Coverdale was singin’, albeit  a little more restrained than DLR, a few modifications here and there and you end up with 9.0, a metal band who released their only album in ’90, such a shame…

     9.0  were at the wrong place at the wrong time on the metal scene as bands like Nirvana, Alice In Chains and the like started to dominate. Now let me get this straight, I love those bands, and there was some great sh*t that came out during that time, but what’s wrong with music that’s fun?.. what’s wrong with good time music?... NOTHING!.. and that’s what 9.0 played! So get over it!.. there is more to life than apathy!!

    But I digress, 9.0 shoulda been on Headbanger’s Ball (remember that!?!) and headlinin’ tours, but alas that was not in the cards for the young American lads.  The album, however, rocks with class and intensity with the Van Halen influence shining mightily on tunes like First Of My Generation & Little Sister.  They may be called clones, but if you’re gonna copy (rip off?) someone’s sound, why not copy from the best!?!.. So get your Hands Up and crank it to 9.0!! ( on a scale of nine)
