Stormwind was a German power/speed metal band that somehow got drowned in the sea of European bands inundating the scene at the time.  Undeservedly being labeled as an Accept ripoff, Stormwind's sole album, 'Taken By Storm' is, in my opinion, far superior to anything the aforementioned Accept ever produced (ironically the band thanks Accepts' Udo Dirkschneider for getting the band together).   Great vocals, driving rhythm, good old fashioned party tunes (Striker, Breaker, Warlord) and killer guitar.  Speaking of guitar, fellow German band Warlock (Doro)  'acquired' guitarist Niko Arvantis in 1986, just as UFO 'acquired' the likes of one Michael Schenker from Scorpions.
