Changing the band's name a million times will definitely help sales!

Black Axe started out in Carlisle, England as a band named Leviathan.  One name change later they became Black Axe, and recorded a killer single called Highway Rider (B-side Red lights) in 1980.   Sounds magazine took a liking to them and gave them some needed exposure, which led to a recording contract with Chrysalis records.  Fast forward 4 years later and the band finally recorded their first and only full length album, Edge of The World.  However, due to some kind of screw up, they were forced to change their name yet again, this time to Wolf.  As a result, any momentum they achieved as the killer NWOBHM band Black Axe was lost when they morphed into the slightly less edgy and more commercial sounding band Wolf.  Still a decent album (except the sappy Medicine Man), but I wish the rest of the album was as good as the Black Axe numbers.
