At the height of the Hair Metal craze in Hollywood, the band Wildside emerged with a 7 figure, 5 album deal with Capital records (It was the biggest signing of a Hollywood rock band since W.A.S.P. in 1984), recorded part of their debut album 'Under The Influence' in secret at Eddie Van Halen's personal home studio, and even had legendary Led Zeppelin record producer Andy Johns overseeing the proceedings.  Capitol Records even declared many times, "Wildside is the next Poison!"  So what happened?  The album tanked (Clock Strikes & Hair of The Dog being among the few highlights), grunge supposedly took over, and after an "upper management shake up" at Capitol Records, all the execs that signed Wildside were "no longer with the company".   Regardless of an iron clad contract and a 5 album deal, new Capitol execs ripped up the band's contract and said, "Hasta La Vista, Baby!"  The band, trying to keep up with the Jones', spit out a grunge album in 1995 that went absolutely nowhere.
