Despite Ozzy's enthusiastic endorsement, he was too busy to answer the phone when the band did call him the next day.

Fast Kutz have the distinction of being one of the few bands championed by none other than Ozzy Osbourne.  Tommy Vance played the album on BBC ONE’s Friday Rock Show the week that Ozzy  was reviewing new albums. According to the bands' guitarist, Kenny Nicholson, after hearing “Fight To Be Free” Ozzy raved about the band saying they were “the most energetic band he’d heard in ages” – “it’s good music man” and “someone should sign these guys up man – tell them to give me a ring and I’ll see what I can do for them“.  High praise indeed!  As a result, the band was asked to record four tracks for said BBC ONE’s Friday Rock Show, which were broadcast on June 26th, 1987.

From the go figure Dept:  The aforementioned session, recorded at BBC's Maida Vale Studios, was generally agreed to be a far superior production job than the album.

Interesting back story:   Initially the band was fronted by Marty Clerkin, who was unceremoniously canned when it was learned that he could not sing!  Quickfire auditions found Keith Davison, who put down his vocals in just two days. Additionally, The 'Burnin' album featured cover artwork by Garry Sharpe-Young, also executed in just two days.
