There was a 70's band named Black Sheep that was one of vocalist Lou Gramm's early working bands (it followed Poor Heart, which broke up c. 1970).  This Black Sheep was an eighties band and at one moment or another, Slash, Paul Gilbert and James Kottak (of Scorpions fame) were members of.  By the time they recorded their only album, Trouble In The Streets, only Paul Gilbert was present of those artists I previously mentioned.  At least the album SAYS he was there...could have fooled me!  This album is an embarrassment to Paul Gilbert fans, and any hard rock/heavy metal enthusiast out there.  Sappy lyrics, wimpy tunes, and a remake of The Supreme's Stop In the Name Of Love?  Need I say more?  Oh Yeah, the other guitarist was Kurt James, who was

Yngwie Malmsteen’s replacement in Steeler.

To be fair, Paul Gilbert was only 17 when he made this record.  When asked about it he said, "I can't remember which songs I played on! Kurt James played guitar on half of the record and he actually sounds better than me. For some reason I had a hair-brained scheme of recording my amp "direct" with no microphone. The result was my guitar sounded very unnatural and buzzy. Like an angry bee caught inside a paper towel tube."
