Somebody help me I don’t think I understand!...Is a line from (Ain’t No Witch At All) Off the release Entrance To Hell, by England’s Bullet. that verse says it all because I damn sure can’t understand why this band didn’t gain more notoriety, at times reminding me of Black Crowes(The Soul That I Had) other times Bullet just shoots straight between the eyes with Page-y, Blackmore-ish power and efficiency, throw in a little Dust and voila!.. Entrance To Hell..
Something else I don’t understand - they were named Daemon, then Bullet, (had to because of another band that had that name) Then to make things less(right) confusing they changed names again to Hard Stuff, and once again to Bullet! Even more confusion ensues with who sang, Al (Harry) Shaw is credited but so is guitarist extraordinaire, band leader John Du Cann and bassist John Gustafson (geez).
Du Cann and Paul Hammond formed the band after leaving Atomic Rooster and were planning on using that name but of course that didn’t happen but alas amid the confusion one kick you in the teeth album was made – Entrance To Hell. Du Cann’s guitar is phenomenal as is the playing of Hammond and Gustafson, oh and the vocals of whoever actually sang on this
masterpiece of rock and roll heaven, welcome to hell!.. Door closes… or slams… In your face!
