SANCTUS-Music-For-Mars.jpg

Music For Mars is the exact same album, but with a way cooler cover

Sanctus (not the death metal band from southern California) was an obscure NWOBHM band that was basically the progier continuation of another NWOBHM band, Marquise De Sade (Welcome to The Graveyard is a cover of the Marquise De Sade tune).  This album contains all 9 songs ever recorded by Sanctus; the two demos they recorded plus two unreleased tracks from 1983. I read somewhere that Sanctus can best described as 'Deep Purple goes occult NWOBHM', with slight influences of other NWOBHM acts such as the Trespass and Shiva - and also, 70's Rush crossed with a heavy metal version of Hawkwind.
