Here comes the debut from the Jinks in Granmax. The name sounds like a superhero with grandchildren, but it's pretty hard to find clever band names. It is also the name of a model from the car brand Daihatsu . In 1975 the band was formed and the following year, 1976 thus came the debut album A Ninth Alive. It's not this record you should have with Granmax apparently. This is the second album, Kiss Heaven Good Bye, which the "connoisseurs" talk about warmly. I think that sounds good, because we who know better can stick to the debut, which in turn will be both cheaper to buy and more fun to own. It was also released on sparkling white vinyl. Very beautiful!

Granmax came from Omaha, Nebraska in the United States and was a classic rock quartet where you chose not to mix peas and carrots, each to their own. The singer sings, the bassist plays bass, the guitarist plays guitar and the drummer… yes, he does well what drummers usually do, turns on his little drums and pretends to be a musician.

Chaz Nikias / Nick Christopher

Singer Nick Christopher sounds a bit like Geddy Lee in Rush and you can say he has blossomed since 1976. He is now called Chaz Nikias and has fallen victim to the modern American multicarrier trend. This means that he is now an actor, musician, musical artist, entertainer and (I guess) taxi driver. He is well-trained anyway. Please check out his music website HERE , packed with clever quotes like "Music is the Space Between Heaven and Earth".

A Ninth Alive is a record with a truly classic "classic rock" sound. Well performed Heavy Metal-Rock N 'Roll with some lack of songwriting but with its clear points.

Granmax is one such band that ended up in the shadow of the bands and artists they supported. They have played with Nazareth and Ted Nugent but not many know them. Now you do it anyway!
