Wow!  What a killer NWOBHM compilation.  I never heard of these guys before guitarist Andy Wood commented on our Tredegar video - so glad he invited us to check out this band!  So many killer tunes here, with the one exception being Day Glo Disco.  (Sorry Andy, but this tune just doesn't cut it)

Here's how some others describe them:

According to Malc Macmillan in The NWOBHM Encyclopedia , Chain Reaction sounds like a mixture of turbo , dealer and silverwing . On the following single, the band had matured in terms of songwriting, although sound parallels to Salem could also be heard. After the arrival of singer Ancliffe, who had an impressive range, the group went more towards Power Metal, so the music was comparable to that of Traitors Gate and Persian Risk . The songs of the 1984 demo were more demanding and melodic and were easy Queensrÿche reveal -Influence.   In his book The Collector's Guide to Heavy Metal Volume 3: The Nineties, Martin Popoff wrote about the compilation Day to Day that the melody of White Spirit is then combined with the music of early Samson and Praying Mantis .

How ever you describe them - Rhabstallion are a definite MUST for any NWOBHM fan.

By the way - what does their name mean?  According to Andy Wood - Rhabstallion name came whilst Band Members Dave Thompson and Stuart Rossington back in the late 70's whilst in a pub having a few drinks, thought the lads in the band looked like a set of Rapscallion a set of my mischievous people, they then decided to…change it to Rhabstallion.
