Black 'N Blue (originally named Movie Star - Thank God they moved on from that lame name) was yet another band who got their start on the phenomenal Metal Massacre album.  Their track 'Chains Around Heaven' was included on the 2nd and 3rd pressings of that album, replacing Steeler's 'Cold Day In Hell'.  The song 'Hold On To 18' became a minor hit for the band, although in my opinion Autoblast should have been released instead.  Oh well, power ballads were BIG back then.  Research shows that their debut album was produced by Dieter Dierks, who produced Scorpions during their hey day.  Perhaps that is the reason this album is far superior to the more 'commercial' fare the band would later release without Dierks' input.

Tommy Thayer wound up joining some little old band named KISS in 2002, where he still plays lead guitar in the disguise of The Spaceman.
