David 'Thunder' Armstrong...or is it Kevin Malone from The Office?

Christian metal with a definite 80's metal sound.  In 1986, the band became the first artist signed to new label Pure Metal Records, a subsidiary of the Refuge Music Group. Shortening their name from Messiah Prophet Band to Messiah Prophet after recording the awful Rock The Flock album, they released their second album, Master of the Metal in 1986. What a difference!  If you're a fan of 80's rock, you'll surely appreciate this disc!  Lots of catchy hooks and some pretty good guitar work as well.  A third M.P. album (which was to be titled Metal Messiah or Living on the Edge, depending on which resource you consult) was in the planning stages when the band unexpectedly split up in 1988. Messiah Prophet's final recording with Charlie Clark as front man, a track called "Blinded," surfaced in 1989 on the compilation album Ultimate Metal.
