What did this couple have to do with Rough Cutt?  Answer below!

Rough Cutt were one of the 'original' LA Bands signed to a major label in the early 80's, alongside Motley Crue, Ratt, Quiet Riot & Black & Blue.  They had plenty of talent run through the band, but unfortunately most didn't stick around for very long, which was a major contributing factor in their eventual demise.  Perhaps the best known of these part time members was Jake E. Lee, although he was gone before any albums were produced.  He did, however, play on 2 singles the band provided for the compilation album L.A's Hottest Unsigned Bands, issued in 1983.  Those 2 tracks were "A Little Kindness" and "Used & Abused", which, it turns out, were produced by some guy named Ronnie James Dio.  Oh, did I forget to mention the fact that the band's manager was Dio's wife Wendy Dio, who also wrote several tunes on their debut album.  Interesting, huh?  Other members of the band that went on to success were singer Paul Shortino, who replaced Kevin Debrow in Quiet Riot, Craig Goldy and Claude Schnell who played in Dio, and Amir Derakh with Orgy.
