No, this is not the MMMBop, crappy pop brother band, this Hanson (also known as Junior Marvin's Hanson) was a British-based rock band formed by Junior Hanson in 1973.  Signed to Emerson, Lake and Palmer's  label Manticore, their debut album Now Hear This, was released in 1973 and featured Bobby Tench of The Jeff Beck Group and Humble Pie fame.  Smokin' To The Big M is an awesome instrumental.  Still can't figure out how Jimmy Thomas is credited as background vocalist on an instrumental?  They must have been smoking a big M when they printed that!  Anyways, Junior decided to do his Ritchie Blackmore impersonation for the next album by letting everyone go and hiring a brand new set of musicians for the follow up album Magic Dragons.  The result was a slightly funkier sound, but still a good album nonetheless.  Robscurities has not been able to confirm the rumor that Venus Flytrap turned down an invitation to join the band.
