Almost all songs on the album were sung by guest singer Carl Sentance as the band did not have a full-time singer in place when recording began. Russ North (which is the only singer credited on the record) became a permanent vocalist and member of the band during the recording session and he only laid the vocals on "Which Way to Go".
Tredegar was a NWOBHM band formed by former Budgie members Tony Bourge and Ray Phillips. Because of the fact that Budgie had been around and paid their dues already, Tredegar had the luxury of being perhaps the only NWOBHM who didn't have to record a demo. With the help of Persian Risk's Carl Sentance as a 'guest' vocalist, and the addition of 'permanent' vocalist Russ North, who sang on one song, Tredegar released their debut album in 1986 and embarked on an extensive tour of the UK in the early months of 1986. A second album's worth of material was recorded in 1991, but was not released after the record co. that agreed to release it changed their mind (imagine that)!
A remixed version of the debut album that had previously only been released in Germany was re-issued along with the entire unreleased second album on a single disc by Axel Records in 1994 under the title Remix & Rebirth.
