Watchtower has been labeled by many as the ultimate progressive/technical thrash band.  Their debut album, Energetic Disassembly, was described as "Rush meets Metallica at 200 mph" by one publication, and "the recording most responsible for the development of the progressive metal genre" by another.  Featuring an array of chaotic time changes, aggressive vocals, and a banging rhythm section, Watchtower recorded the album when the band were still teenagers!  The band featured vocalist Jason McMaster, who left Watchtower after the release of Energetic Disassembly to form Dangerous Toys, and was replaced by Alan Tecchio, who appeared on their second album, Control and Resistance.
